It’s all about being present in who you are at this very moment. While you are reading this, know yourself. I cannot tell who you are presently and what that may mean to you because it’s about self-awareness. It’s simple bringing in the things that make you feel good, no matter how big or small. It is meant to feel GOOD. If it feels anything less than that, then you are denying your true self. You are literally sabotaging yourself by being everything that is less than you. This where I fucked up because I had an idea of the person that I was “supposed” to be. But, that was constantly ruining who I am in the present. Holding on or bringing in those less than authentic ideas and habits, ruins the growth of being you in the present. If you hold on to the ideas of you that you had as a teenager than you are ruining your present self. Your teenage self had no idea what would happen years to come so that idea cannot speak its way into today. You are shaped by what is happening in the present. Right now. Don’t get trapped in what felt right 10 years ago. That will leave you so unhappy. What feels right today is living to be your present self. It was for me. Don’t deny that growth by holding onto old ideas of what it should look like. Silence that teenager and let the present you make decisions. Let you in this moment decide what comes and what goes. Being yourself in the present is being totally aware. Feel how connected you are with your place and space in the world. If something feels disconnected then you have to reevaluate. Be happy with what is presently you. Whatever that means, for you. Maybe your taste in music has changed, maybe your style of dress has changed… maybe you just don’t want to be that person any more. It’s okay to acknowledge that and find yourself in the present. Accept that it will be DIFFERENT from what has been so normal to you in 2010. It’s okay to change, but you have to embrace it. Embrace who you are in the present. Not who you used to be or think you were.
