Finding your own personal style is a complicated journey. Trends are always changing and our own opinion of our self-image can change with it. In our generation, style is defined by how many likes you get on a picture and how many brands you can tag. However, this is not a definition that I live by. It is unrealistic. Wearing high-fashion designers does not make you stylish. Having style comes from within. It’s how you allow the garments to speak for you before you utter a word. The things that adorn our body can speak a thousand words to a complete stranger. That’s how you find your personal style. What do you want your clothing to say about you to a complete stranger? Complicated as it may be, it is an important journey to take because you will find your self-worth along the way. Ever realize that when you don’t look your best, you don’t feel your best. Our clothing can help boost our confidence. Although, trends come and go, who you are will remain the same. The ability to stand out as an individual is the first step to cultivating a wardrobe that is unique to you. There are many struggles with finding your personal style because there is so much inspiration out there. But, in the midst of all the style influences we may see on social networks and television, it is important to look at what you gravitate towards in a rush. In the mad dash to get ready at the very last-minute, what do you typically put together? That is how you begin to understand what your style is and means to you. It can be simple t-shirt or jeans. Or maybe you always rely on a patterned dress and boots. Whatever you do, it is about what makes you feel good. Personal Style is about feeling your absolute best in the clothes you wear. Not everyone’s style is going to be what I like, but seeing a woman confident in herself is powerful. Style is who you are when your clothes do the talking.
