Let me preface this with saying that I know not everyone will agree but who am I if I don’t ruffle a few feathers. I firmly believe that women should STOP discussing their budding career with in relation to relationships as if they are parallel. I am almost certain that men never sit and ponder about what it means to chase their dreams and maintain relationships. They just chase their dreams selfishly and sometimes without regard for how any woman would feel. I’m not saying that women should adopt this mentality because by nature we are nurtures and caregivers. HOWEVER, I am saying that women should start to shift their focus. Use all that energy you spend on overthinking and analyzing on something more positive. Men literally pick themselves when it comes to choosing between their career or a woman. It’s time for women to pick themselves. Stop worrying about what it all means and GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. Men will ALWAYS be THERE. Be selfish. Be self-consumed. Find your purpose and chase your dreams! STOP trying to balance it! Forget about the man and do it for YOU. These men are NOT thinking about you like you are thinking about them. While you spend countless hours texting your friends about this man, he’s somewhere getting it together. Don’t wait on a man to make it all make sense. Put your self first and be your OWN person. Claim your identity outside of a man. Now, I know someone is going to miss the point. The point is stop giving these men so much. Period.  Women get together and the first topic of discussion is men. I’m over it. Not saying it can’t ever be a topic of discussion, but it shouldn’t be the MAIN TOPIC. Let’s get out of our feelings and get on our grind.
