Mr. Good on Paper

Sometimes what’s good for you goes deeper than what’s on the surface. I think a lot of times women are forced to believe that what sounds good on paper is generally what will be best for us. However, when you learn about yourself through relationships you will learn what you do and do not want. I want to encourage women to look at the experience and not what they wanted the experience to be. Potential can cloud our perception and we will miss our lesson. In a past relationship, I stayed around because this person sounded amazing on paper BUT we weren’t compatible. Being compatible is IMPORTANT. I need someone to understand my love language. Women shouldn’t settle because it seems like Mr. Good on Paper has the potential to be a knight in shining armor. (Which I think is a load of crap but, that’s another post for another day) Mr. Good on Paper is just a good resume; that doesn’t mean he is good for the job. It’s like when you apply to a job and you know you’re qualified but, they still say you don’t meet their requirements. He just didn’t measure up and THAT IS OKAY! Don’t let societal pressures make you believe that you must settle for that. It’s deeper than that. We all need more than what is on that resume. We need skills! We need certifications! I’m exaggerating a little bit but, you understand the point. Let Mr. Good on Paper go.
