Women have to stop trying to raise bums. Women are operating their relationships like a functioning homeless shelter. Feeding these men, clothing these men and PROVIDING shelter is just like a homeless shelter, sis. And I KNOW, some of y’all are financing some of these men BUT I refuse to accept that. I’ll pretend you aren’t. How will your relationships ever be prosperous if you act as a man’s provider? You aren’t “holding it down”. You are holding him up. He will NEVER reach his full potential with you carrying him. He will never be anything more than a bum because he knows you don’t expect more from him. Homeless shelters generally don’t require much. They usually take anyone who is without. It’s time to go out of business. It’s time for women to get some standards, HIGH standards. Set the bar so high that men have no other choice but to reach it. Tell that man you are no longer providing the services of a homeless shelter. He loves the services you provide him. He knows no matter what, his homeless shelter (you) will be there. Go out of business! Don’t get so lonely that you are doing any and everything to keep a man. Tell that man it’s time to go and your doors will be closing for good. Pitiful men will come back after a few months with obligatory “accomplishments”. Do not fall for it. More often than not, he’s an adult and getting a job and getting a place is regular. If you fall for it, he’ll find reasons that it didn’t work out and now… he’s a bum, again. Raise your standards. You are a diamond and everyone gawks over them but, few will ever possess them. Remember that the next time he comes around looking for homeless shelter services.
