“Become the kind of woman that can live in that image…” Sarah Jakes Roberts
During a deep meditation session something in me transformed and told me that I needed to get realigned and focus on my goals again. In the past 28 days, I had done everything like I used to do. I made the same excuses that I knew did not serve me. So, in my meditative state, I started to affirm myself and put out a different energy. When I woke up at 5:45 am to get ready for the gym, I turned on a new podcast. It was a different than my usual Joe Budden Podcast. Sarah Jakes Roberts podcast was suggested and I randomly picked on an episode from last year. I don’t know what the name of the episode was, I just selected it in my grogginess. As I made my way to the gym, one line stuck out to me and woke me from my sleepiness. Sarah Jakes Roberts said, “…become the kind of woman that can live in that image…” This stuck out to me for so many different reasons. The biggest reason was that women think they should have something or be somewhere but are not the woman they need to be. We want so much, but we haven’t realized that we aren’t ready yet. To be frank, you aren’t her! Yet. Most millennial women are in a moment of transition. Like so many women want a certain kind of man, but they aren’t even the woman they need to be to obtain that kind of man. The image that you see for yourself, you have to decide to work hard to be her. Don’t short change yourself. AND stop asking for things you are not worthy of. We can have whatever we want, BUT it takes work. We have to become the things that we seek. Want to be a boss? Act like it. Do everything in your power to act like a boss. Don’t just say it, do it. If you want an affluent man, become an affluent woman. Become the kind of woman that can live in that image. You will have a hard time trying to be a part of something that you are not ready for.
