Our world is in a really weird and uncomfortable place right now. Many of us are working from home or on hiatus until further notice. Children are attending school from laptops and tablets. We are experiencing things that no other generation has. Amongst all the chaos we must find peace. It is important to find inner peace in all this turmoil. I truly believe that a higher being is calling us to sit still and get aligned. In this moment, it is time to burn the old story and write a new one. Many people are freaked out by this moment of isolation and I completely understand. Not everyone is ready to face it all when there is nowhere to escape. But, we would be doing ourselves an injustice if we did not use this time sensibly. Sit down and read back the story of your life. If it is a story you do not like or love, get rid of it. During this quarantine, get focused and write a new story. Take it day-by-day and page-by-page. Don’t let this moment be for nothing. We may never experience another moment like this in our lifetime. After you finish all your work from home. Take out a journal and being to write a new story.
Take characters out. Write about the new people you want to add. Change the setting of the story. Adjust the plot. Do whatever it takes to heal and become who you have always wanted to be. Give yourself permission to let go of whatever has hurt you. In this moment of solitude, forgive yourself for all the things you always wished you could change. You can either come out of this quarantine with a new outlook on life or you could have just sat on your bed every day.
The chaos will still exist and the headlines will still be just as traumatic as they were the day before. Do not worry about that. I encourage everyone reading this to get real familiar with who they are at this time. Abandon everything that no longer serves you. Give yourself the space to heal. Don’t feel like you have to talk with anyone about anything. This is your moment. Due to sad and unfortunate events, life has slowed down. Use the time to inhale and exhale. There is no rush to go anywhere. Most of us have another two to four weeks in quarantine, so use it wisely. Be gentle with yourself as you being to write your new story.
